Nicola is a Toronto based CAEA actor. Having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theatre Performance from Sheridan College in 2016, she has trained extensively in acting, singing and dancing and has worked consistently for three years within Toronto's theatre and film scene.
Nicola started training at a young age by enrolling in classes, shows and choirs including The Toronto Children's Chorus and The Canadian Children's Opera Company (with which she toured Europe). Her choir experiences catalyzed her love of music theory and in 2013 she won Sheridan College's award for "Highest Achievement in Ear Training".
Highlights in her career so far include Harper in Clinic (Tarragon Workspace/Collective of 7); Princess Irene in The Princess and the Pea, Amber in Little Red (Stirling Festival Theatre); The Full Mounty (Bluewater Summer Playhouse); Into The Woods (Thousand Islands Playhouse), Ursula in Sweet Charity ("Outstanding Achievement in an Ensemble or Supporting Role"), The Enlightenment of Percival Von Schmootz, Sunday in the Park with George (Theatre Sheridan); 33 1/3 ("Outstanding Contribution to the Canadian Music Theatre Project"), Star Stuck, Central Park Tango (Canadian Music Theatre Project); 33 1/3 (Playwright's Guild of Canada); A Christmas Carol (CBC). Nicola has also filmed multiple lead roles on Forbidden: Dying for Love and See No Evil (DiscoveryID).
A musician as well, Nicola has studied piano for thirteen years and has completed her grade eight Royal Conservatory exam. She has dabbled in guitar and trumpet lessons and spends much of her time making music with friends.
Nicola has recently chosen to pursue a career predominantly in film. Watch out for Nicola in another leading role on Forbidden: Dying For Love airing in summer 2019!
